Tourelles de Longueville

Tourelles de Longueville Pauillac / Bordeaux France / Bordeaux Blend / Château Pichon-Longueville Baron – Cassis, leather, plum.

Bordeaux wine was originally classified by perceived Chateau quality by Napoleon in 1855. Chateau Pichon-Longueville-Baron in Pauillac was one of the 15 esteemed “second growths” or “deuxiemes crus”. Tourelles de Longueville is the Chateau’s second bottling, or like a little sibling wine. Consider this the technique and prestige of a top Bordeaux wine at a more social price tag. Excellent value! The classic grapes for a Bordeaux blend are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot…and the forgotten Carmenere.
